Before I was introduced to this brush, I would shower, brush through my hair, add mousse and scrunch my hair with my hands. I got curls, but not every strand was curly. There were straight pieces, wavy pieces, and if I didn't get to my hair at the right time, my hair got a little poofy. This method took maybe 5 minutes.
With this brush, I shower, I brush my hair, I add mousse and comb it through my hair with my fingers to distribute it. Then I use clips and go layer by layer, group of hair strands by group of hair strands, and I use this brush like a curling iron, but there's no heat or damage concerns. After I'm all done, I scrunch my hair with my hands, but this isn't necessary. It simply speeds up the curl producing timeline. It's a little fascinating how it works. After I curl a strand with the brush, it looks slightly wavy. After an hour however, my head is covered in curls. It seems to train your hair to dry in a curl pattern. This method takes 10-15 minutes.
Does the curling brush take longer than my previous method? Yes. Does it create curls with every strand and every layer? Yes. Does it decrease my natural poofyness? Yes. Do I use it every time now even though it takes longer? Yes.
