The Thin Hairband That Disappears Into Your Hair -- Salon-Selected
The Narrow Acetate Hairband is the slim, classic alice-band style I recommend when a client wants hair held back without the band itself becoming the whole look. At roughly one centimeter wide, it slips on like a hoop, sits close to the head, and reads as a polished finishing detail rather than a statement accessory.
Acetate is the upgrade over cheap plastic. It has a smooth, slightly warm feel, a subtle sheen, and enough flex to hold its shape without snapping or digging in behind the ears. The result is a hairband you can wear for hours without the pressure headache that thicker, rigid bands tend to cause.
Use it to keep your fringe and front sections off your face, to add a clean edge to a half-up style, or to dress up a simple blowout. Because the band is so slim, it layers easily with other accessories and works across nearly every hair length and texture.
Available in black, white, pink, dark green, and three multicolor tortoise-style finishes so you can keep one in every bag.
Material: Acetate | Width: Approx. 1 cm, narrow | Fit: One size hoop, lightweight

How to Wear a Narrow Acetate Hairband
Slide the band on from front to back, then push it about an inch behind your hairline so it grips the widest part of your head and stays put. Because a thin band leaves your hairline exposed, smooth any baby hairs or flyaways with the Hair Finishing Stick for a clean, finished edge -- this is the step that makes a simple hairband look salon-done. For a quick half-up, gather the top section and secure it with a lay-flat claw clip, and browse the rest of the accessories in our full hair collection.
Narrow Acetate Hairband -- FAQ
Does a thin acetate hairband slip out?
Less than you would expect. Seated about an inch behind the hairline, the hoop grips the widest part of the head. On very fine or silky hair, smoothing the hairline first with a finishing product adds grip and keeps it in place.
Is acetate better than plastic for a hairband?
Yes. Acetate has more flex and a smoother surface than rigid plastic, so it resists snapping, feels warmer against the skin, and is gentler on the hair where it sits.
Will this narrow hairband give me a headache?
It is far less likely to than a thick band. The slim profile spreads contact over a small area without the squeezing pressure wide rigid bands create behind the ears.
Can I wear a thin hairband with other accessories?
Yes. Its slim shape layers cleanly with claw clips, a second hairband, or a finished updo, which is part of why it is such a versatile everyday piece.
What colors are available?
Black, white, pink, dark green, and three multicolor tortoise-style finishes.
